Silencing Free Speech at Maranatha High School
Maranatha Is Working Overtime to Silence Free Speech
Maranatha High School in Pasadena appears to be working overtime to silence criticism rather than address it. Google reviews for Maranatha have been completely turned off. No new reviews can be posted, and existing reviews are no longer visible to the public. This isn’t a glitch — this is a coordinated effort to wipe away the truth.
If that weren’t enough, a Change.org petition with dozens of signatures, created to expose misconduct and demand accountability, was also removed from the platform after Maranatha's lawyers intervened.
When an institution responds to criticism not with transparency or reform, but with aggressive censorship, it reveals exactly what it’s trying to hide. These are the actions of an organization more concerned with protecting its image than doing what’s right.
Silencing parents and students doesn’t erase the experiences they’ve lived through. It only amplifies the seriousness of the claims and erodes public trust even more.
Free speech is a cornerstone of accountability. Shutting down online reviews and petitions doesn’t make the truth disappear — it only proves how determined Maranatha is to control the narrative.
Families deserve answers, not censorship.
